This position is a permanent full-time position 38 hour per week, and includes:

The Manager of Belyuen Aged Care & Disability Services reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality care to clients across all aged care & disability funding programs ensuring a consumer directed approach while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. As part of an integrated aged care team, the Manager of Aged Care & Disability Services will relieve Case Managers and support the direct provision of high-quality care to clients, as required.

Essential Skills and Experiences:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, community services or management or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in health and community care.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of legislation pertaining to the aged & disability programs, and the Aged Care Quality Standards, including Frameworks and Guidelines that drive safe, quality outcomes.
  • Strong HR, performance, and people management skills, with the ability to inspire a diverse team.
  • Confident and authentic communicator and excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with staff, clients and their representatives, and the broader community in a culturally safe manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage finances and operate within budgetary requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently, apply excellent problem-solving skills, manage and prioritise workload in a constantly changing environment.
  • Experience in developing and delivering education strategies and supporting change/improvement processes.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of effective complaints handling and incident management.
  • High level of information technology literacy including Microsoft office suite (outlook and excel) and client management systems.
  • Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety and its practical application within the nominated work environment.
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Working With Children (Ochre Card).
  • Current Northern Territory drivers licence.
